Add a News Slideshow to a Page
Before you are able to add any elements, you will need to be in Edit Mode. You can see this on the Switch in the upper right corner of the page. In Edit Mode is when you can begin updating. In User mode is how you can see the changes you have just made.
The News Slideshow will show your News stories which you have published on the 'News' tab. They will appear in Slideshow form, along with the pictures that you have added with each News Story.
1. Click 'Add Page Element' button. This can be seen circled in red on the picture on the right.
2. On the elements page, scroll all the way down and choose the "Add News Slideshow' option.
3. Here is where you can make decisions about how many news stories you want to show, and their transition type. Like designing a slideshow on Powerpoint, you can choose transitions like Blur, Drop, and Push among others. After you have made your decisions, click "Create This Element" and the element will be made.
4. To the right is an exemple of a finished 'News Slideshow.' The first story is on RWeb. If you click on the picture, it will being you directly to that story. Below the showing story, you can see thumbnails of other news stories. If you click on those icons, that story will then populate into the slideshow.
